Welcome to the Asian
American Parent Association (AAPA) website. This organization is dedicated
to providing a better learning environment for our elementary, middle and high school
students so that they will be well equipped to becoming contributing successful citizens and future leaders. Our emphasis was initially directed towards the needs of the Asian community but the scope
of our programs and our general goals step beyond ethnic boundries.
Our Mission.
AAPA addresses concerns
facing our children's K-12 education, provides opportunities for the exchange
of ideas on issues related to education, and organizes activities that
support student development. AAPA fosters member involvement in all aspects
of the educational processes, especially but not exclusively, as it pertains
to the needs of students of the Asian American community. AAPA encourages
voluntarism in support of school's educational programs. AAPA promotes dialogue with
school administration personnel and advances greater understanding between the
general public and the Asian community.
Our Initiatives.
- Establish Dialogue with the two School Districts;
- Develop Parent Awareness Programs;
- Promote Student Training and Leadership
Programs;
- Encourage Community Involvement.
AAPA is currently working closely
with the "Cupertino Union School District" (CUSD) headquartered in the
city of Cupertino and the "Fremont Union High School District" (FUHSD),
headquartered in the city of Sunnyvale, California.
